A 碳排放承诺委员会 has been established in support of the University of 匹兹堡’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2037.

Chancellor Patrick Gallagher 宣布加速碳中和目标, timed to align with Pitt’s 250th anniversary in 2037, in conjunction with the signing of the 第二自然气候领导声明和碳承诺. The University is on a trajectory to meet the 2018球速体育可持续发展计划 goal of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and energy use 50% by 2030 (from a 2008 baseline), while producing or procuring at least 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
